This is super good you want to dig straight in! Dijon mustard and salsa meatloaf – they said it’s the new Firefighter’s obsession and I can understand why. You got the excellent flavours, the texture in a snap that just melts in your mouth. Pretty simple, not fussy yet gives you the best of the best meatloaf you can eat in a lifetime! Serve this with some baked beans and greens for a complete meal.
Ingredients
2 slices whole-wheat bread
2 pounds ground beef
1 green onion, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 cup medium salsa
2 tablespoons whole-grain Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon barbeque sauce
How to make A Firefighter’s Meatloaf
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F or 190 degrees C.
Step 2: In a small bowl with warm water, add the bread to soak.
Step 3: In a large bowl, add the beef.
Step 4: Drain the water from the bread and add the soaked bread into the beef followed by onion, onion, salsa, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix the ingredients well.
Step 5: Form it into a loaf and transfer in a greased loaf pan.
Step 6: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about an hour.
Step 7: Remove from the oven and drain any excess fat.
Step 8: Pour the barbeque (Diana) sauce over and place back in the oven to bake for 15 minutes more.
