Ingredients:
4 large potatoes
300g ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup grated cheese (optional)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
-Peel the potatoes and cut them into chunks.
-Boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, then drain and mash them until smooth. Set aside to cool.
-Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
–Add chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
–Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned.
–Season with paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
-Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet.
–Take a spoonful of mashed potatoes and flatten it into a disc in the palm of your hand.
–Place a spoonful of the cooked ground beef mixture in the center of the potato disc.
–Carefully fold the potato over the filling, shaping it into a roll. Seal the edges tightly to prevent any filling from leaking out.
-Place the assembled rolls onto the greased baking sheet.
–Brush each roll with beaten egg wash for a golden finish.
–Optional: Sprinkle grated cheese over the top of each roll for added flavor.
-Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and crispy.
-Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
–Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
–Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them on their own.
