Texas Trash Dip

Creamy, cheesy, and downright irresistible—this crowd-pleasing dip comes together in minutes with pantry staples and bakes up hot and bubbly. Perfect for game day, potlucks, or whenever friends pop by.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 (16-ounce) cans refried beans
  • 1 (4.5-ounce) can chopped green chiles, drained
  • 1 (1.25-ounce) package McCormick Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 4 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese, divided

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Soften the dairy: In a large microwave-safe bowl, microwave the cream cheese and sour cream on HIGH for 1 minute, or until the cream cheese is soft. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Combine the rest: Stir in the refried beans, green chiles, taco seasoning, and 2 cups of the shredded cheese. Mix until everything is well combined.
  4. Assemble the dip: Spread the mixture evenly into a 13×9-inch baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray. Sprinkle the remaining 2 cups of cheese over the top.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve hot with tortilla chips for dipping.
