There’s something wonderfully comforting about letting a slow cooker do the heavy lifting—especially on days when life feels full. These tender, fall-apart baby back ribs simmer gently in a sweet, tangy cola bath, soaking up flavor until they’re practically irresistible. It’s the kind of recipe I love pulling out when the family wants something hearty without a lot of fuss.
Ingredients
- 1 rack pork baby back ribs
- 12 oz Coca-Cola
- 18 oz jar of your favorite barbecue sauce
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Lightly coat the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick spray.
- Season the ribs generously with salt and pepper, then nestle them into the slow cooker.
- Pour the Coca-Cola over the ribs, then spoon in half of the barbecue sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for about 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the ribs are tender.
- Optional but delicious: Transfer the cooked ribs to a rimmed baking sheet, brush with the remaining barbecue sauce, and broil for around 5 minutes, just until the edges caramelize.
