There’s something so comforting about pulling a warm loaf of pepperoni bread out of the oven. It has all the cozy charm of a classic pepperoni pizza, but bundled up in a soft, golden loaf that’s perfect for sharing. This version comes together easily and makes a wonderful snack for game days, family nights, or whenever you’re craving something a little indulgent.
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf frozen bread dough (about 1 pound), thawed
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 4 ounces sliced pepperoni
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan
- 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
Instructions:
- Place the thawed dough into a bowl, cover it loosely, and let it rise in a warm spot until it doubles in size—usually around an hour.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to keep cleanup simple.
- Roll the risen dough into a rectangle. Brush the surface with the beaten egg, then layer the pepperoni slices evenly over the top. Sprinkle on the mozzarella, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Starting from a long edge, roll the dough up tightly, jelly-roll style, and pinch the seam to seal. Set the loaf seam-side down on your prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for about 40 minutes, or until the loaf turns a beautiful golden brown.
- Allow it to cool just a bit, then slice with a bread knife to your preferred thickness.
