Ingredients
300g broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
300g mushrooms, thinly sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
Salt & black pepper, to taste
Optional: Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Ingredients
Wash and dry the broccoli before cutting it into small florets. Clean the mushrooms, pat them dry, and slice them thinly. Mince the garlic.
Step 2: Heat the Pan
In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat, swirling to coat the pan.
Step 3: Cook the Broccoli
Add the broccoli and sauté for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. If needed, add a splash of water to help it soften while keeping its bright color.
Step 4: Add the Mushrooms
Add the sliced mushrooms and stir well. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until they release moisture and turn golden brown.
Step 5: Add Garlic & Seasonings
Push the veggies to one side of the pan. Add minced garlic to the center and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Mix it into the vegetables.
Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, stirring everything together. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.
Step 6: Serve & Garnish
Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve immediately with steamed rice, quinoa, or as a side dish.
