Ingredients
Method
- Place the pork chops in the bottom of the slow cooker in a fairly even layer.
- Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the pork chops.
- Pour the beer around the pork chops, adding a little over the top without washing all the seasoning into one spot.
- Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours, or on high for 2 1/2–3 1/2 hours, until the pork chops are tender and cooked through.
- Spoon the cooking liquid over the pork chops before serving.
- For a thicker sauce, remove the pork chops and simmer the cooking liquid in a small saucepan for a few minutes until slightly reduced.
- Serve warm with mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or roasted vegetables.
Notes
Use bone-in pork chops for the juiciest result. Avoid very bitter beer, as the bitterness can become stronger during slow cooking.
