  • 16 oz lemon pie filling 1 can
  • 15 oz yellow cake mix 1 package
  • 4 oz cream cheese cubed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1 stick, thinly sliced

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread lemon pie filling evenly across the bottom of the baking dish, reaching into the corners.
  3. Sprinkle half the cake mix over the filling. Distribute cream cheese cubes evenly, then top with remaining cake mix.
  4. Arrange thin slices of butter across the top in a single layer, covering as much surface as possible.
  5. Bake 35–40 minutes until golden and set, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. Cool 15–20 minutes before serving warm or at room temperature.
