Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp vegetable broth or chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice or to taste
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce such as sriracha
  • 4 tsp garlic minced
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 3-4 tbsp butter cut into small cubes
  • 2 tbsp parsley fresh chopped or cilantro
  • 1 lb asparagus trimmed

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Cut two large sheets of foil and place them on a flat surface.
  2. In a small bowl, mix broth, lemon juice, and hot sauce to create the garlic butter sauce base.
  3. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Place each fillet in the center of a foil sheet and arrange asparagus alongside.
  4. Sprinkle minced garlic over salmon and asparagus, then drizzle with the prepared sauce.
  5. Top with butter cubes, then fold foil over the salmon and seal edges, leaving space inside for heat circulation.
  6. Place foil packets on a baking sheet and bake for 9–12 minutes, until salmon is cooked through.
  7. Carefully open packets, garnish with fresh herbs and extra lemon juice, and serve immediately.

Notes

Swap asparagus for green beans or zucchini if desired. Add lemon slices inside the foil for extra citrus flavor.
