Method
- Combine sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 1 1/2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, oats, and vanilla.
- Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper.
- Let cool until set and firm.
Notes
Boiling time is key—too short and cookies won’t set, too long and they’ll be dry. Aim for exactly 1 1/2 minutes.
