Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour for topping
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 5 tbsp milk for glaze
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract for glaze

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, milk, white sugar, eggs, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt until combined. Stir in melted butter.
  3. Pour batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon until smooth.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the batter and swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out nearly clean.
  7. Whisk confectioners’ sugar, milk, and vanilla extract together until smooth. Drizzle over warm cake before serving.

Notes

Serve warm for the best cinnamon-roll flavor. Add chopped pecans to the topping for extra texture.
