Ingredients
  

  • 0.5 cup butter unsalted, softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • salt pinch
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup sugar for coating
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon for coating

Method
 

  1. Cream butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Mix in powdered sugar, egg, baking powder, vanilla, and salt.
  3. Gradually add flour until dough forms.
  4. Chill dough for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F and mix cinnamon and sugar.
  6. Roll dough into balls and coat in cinnamon sugar.
  7. Bake for 8–9 minutes until just set.
  8. Cool on baking sheet before transferring to rack.

Notes

Do not overbake—these cookies stay pale and soft. Chilling the dough helps maintain their shape and texture.
