Ingredients

  • 7 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs about 9 whole crackers
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cool whip 1 container, thawed
  • 21 oz cherry pie filling 1 can

Method

  1. Melt butter in a medium bowl. Stir in graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar until evenly combined.
  2. Press crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 8x8-inch baking dish to form the crust.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth and lump-free. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in Cool Whip until just combined and fluffy, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Spread filling evenly over prepared crust. Spoon cherry pie filling over top and gently spread into an even layer.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving chilled.

Notes

Try blueberry or strawberry pie filling for easy variations. For cleaner slices, chill overnight before serving.
