- In a large bowl, combine flour and seasoned salt. Coat beef stew meat evenly in the mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef, garlic, and sliced bell peppers and cook until beef begins to brown.
- Transfer beef and peppers to a lined slow cooker, leaving excess grease in the skillet.
- Add stewed tomatoes with juice and beef broth to the skillet. Stir in Worcestershire sauce.
- Gradually whisk in remaining flour until a smooth gravy forms.
- Pour gravy mixture over the beef and peppers in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours, until beef is tender and flavors are blended.
- Serve hot over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
Use red and green bell peppers for extra color and sweetness. Add onions or mushrooms for more depth of flavor.
