Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter sliced
  • 16 oz spaghetti
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese grated, or to taste

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese until smooth and well combined.
  4. Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain excess fat, then stir in spaghetti sauce.
  5. Place slices of butter in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Add half of the cooked spaghetti on top.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the noodles.
  7. Layer remaining spaghetti over the cream cheese mixture and top with remaining butter slices.
  8. Pour meat sauce over the top and sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.
  9. Bake for 35–40 minutes until hot and bubbly. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Try mozzarella or a cheese blend for extra meltiness. Letting it rest before serving helps layers set cleanly.
