Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2/3 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 16 ounces linguine, spaghetti, or rice noodles cook according to package directions
  • green onions chopped, optional for garnish

Method

  1. Cook the noodles according to the package directions until tender. Drain well and set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it into small pieces, until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Add the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, ground ginger, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and black pepper to the skillet.
  4. Stir well and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is slightly thickened and the flavors have blended.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss thoroughly until they are evenly coated in the sauce.
  6. Continue cooking for another 2–3 minutes, stirring gently, until everything is heated through.
  7. Remove from the heat and garnish with chopped green onions, if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra vegetables, add sliced bell peppers, broccoli, or shredded carrots. Use low-sodium soy sauce if you prefer better control over the salt level.
