Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix dry cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined. Press dough evenly into the bottom of prepared pan.
- In a separate large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs and beat 1 to 2 minutes, then mix in powdered sugar until well blended.
- Pour cream cheese mixture over crust and spread evenly.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes until set but still soft and gooey in the center.
- Remove from oven and cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
Dust with extra powdered sugar before serving if desired. Lemon cake mix or chocolate cake mix make great variations.
