Ingredients
  

  • 1 2/3 cups white sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 oz milk chocolate chips 1 package
  • 16 large marshmallows
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Add chocolate chips and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and quickly stir in marshmallows, vanilla extract, and chopped nuts until well combined.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan and spread evenly.
  5. Let cool completely, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Swap nuts for dried fruit or omit entirely. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
