Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup raspberry preserves or raspberry jam
  • 1 cup whipped topping thawed
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries lightly mashed

Method

  1. Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or microwave briefly in 8–10 second bursts until softened but not melted.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese to a mixing bowl and beat until smooth and creamy.
  3. Mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add the raspberry preserves and lightly mashed fresh raspberries.
  5. Mix gently until the dip turns pink and the berries are evenly distributed, leaving a few streaks if desired.
  6. Add the whipped topping and gently fold it in with a spatula until light and fluffy.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm slightly and let the flavors blend.
  8. Spoon into a serving bowl and garnish with extra raspberries if desired.
  9. Serve chilled with cookies, fruit, pretzels, crackers, or other dippers.

Notes

For a prettier swirl, reserve a spoonful of raspberry preserves and fold it in lightly at the end. Graham crackers, vanilla wafers, and apple slices pair especially well.
