Ingredients
  

  • 9 oz oyster crackers 1 package
  • 1 cup butter 2 sticks
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread oyster crackers in an even layer.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until dissolved.
  3. Bring mixture to a boil while stirring constantly. Cook 2 to 3 minutes until thickened and slightly lighter in color.
  4. Remove from heat and immediately pour caramel over crackers. Gently fold until evenly coated, then sprinkle with salt.
  5. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes, watching carefully so the caramel does not burn.
  6. Cool completely, then break into bite-sized clusters. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

For extra indulgence, drizzle with melted chocolate after cooling. Flaky sea salt makes a wonderful finishing touch.
