Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup walnuts chopped
  • powdered sugar for coating

Method
 

  1. Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in vanilla.
  3. Combine flour and salt, then add to mixture.
  4. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  5. Chill dough if needed, then roll into balls.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar.
  8. Cool completely and roll again for a thicker coating.
